Basic Life Support for Adults and Children

Basic Life Support qualification provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge needed to deal with an adult or a child who requires basic life support in an emergency situation.

Our BLS course objective is to benefit students by enabling them to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with an adult or child who needs basic life support.

During this 1/2 day course You will be given the opportunity to practise essential basic life support procedures, including: primary assessment, managing an unresponsive casualty, recovery position, CPR and choking.

Successful completion of the course will enable you to manage an unresponsive casualty, use cardiopulmonary resuscitation methods CPR, knowing the correct actions to take with regard to cardiac arrest and choking.

We deliver our BLS course using presentation, individual work books, scenarios, multiple choice question papers and high fidelity manikins to facilitate learning, theory and practical assessment. We provide an interactive learning experience, relaxed and enjoyable environment to achieve, maintain and update professional competencies.

The Qualification and Learning outcomes are based on the recommendations of Resuscitation Council UK, Skills for Health Assessment Principles for First Aid Qualifications and assists with meeting Care Certificate standard 12.

We deliver our BLS course in line with the latest Resuscitation Council UK guidelines and the First Aid Manual.
